Scientists invented a new kind of berry, a strawblucherri. They were great fresh or as a jam & grew absolutely anywhere. Even after passing through you & going down the drain. They flourished in the plumbing, unnoticed, until they clogged every toilet in the world.

Serpentine
Women like her don’t walk. They glide. Her serpentine waltz draws my eye. She sits beside me, offers a sip of her drink. I hate Applejack daiquiris, but I’m curious about those green eyes. It doesn’t matter if she’s the devil. My wallet’s empty & I’m ready to die.

Sewer
I went out for a walk & just after stepping over a manhole cover, the iron lid flew up into the air. They said gasses built up in the sewer – that I was lucky to survive – but I think something else is going on here. The rats planned it & they’re coming after me.

The airlock opened & she was standing there, my dream made flesh, as beautiful as the night I imagined her.
“Fancy that,” she said with a smirk. “Trapped together, alone on the same space-station.”

Batter
Intestines lay over rusty nails, draining onto the floor. A severed foot rested on a cutting block with gnawed stumps instead of toes. The cook stirred the ingredients – brain, stomach & chestnut flour – the perfect batter for pink pancakes, homemade on her fire.
